Calvin D. Stewart

EXMORE, Va. – Calvin Doyle Stewart, 67, of Exmore, Virginia, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 5, 2025.

He was a loving and kind man. He had a loyal love for his family and friends, especially his life companion, Kris Kelly.

Calvin was a hero. After graduating high school in North Platte, Nebraska, he joined the United States Navy and was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. He spent his entire professional life with the Navy through retirement. After retirement he remained in Virginia and close to his precious Atlantic Ocean. His other passions included riding his Harley Davidson, fishing, and cheering for the Denver Broncos.

Proceeding him in death was his father, Calvin Stewart, and his mother, Gloria Bogus.

Survivors include three sisters, Norma Borschine, North Platte, Nebraska, Rose Heimbaugh, Elwood, Kansas, Beverly Rasmussen, St. Joseph; and two brothers, Frank Bogus, and David Bogus, North Platte, Nebraska; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Surviving of the home, his loving and faithful companion, Kris Kelly.

He has been cremated and requested his ashes spread over one of his favorite bodies of water. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. As published in the St. Joseph News-Press.
