Deckard, Linda L. 1948-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Linda L. Deckard, 76, of St. Joseph, passed away surrounded by family and friends on Monday, May 12, 2025, at her home. She was born Aug. 1, 1948, in St. Joseph, to Freida and William Jones.

She graduated from Faucett, Missouri, High School, class of 1966. Linda spent much of her working life working as a custodian for American Family Insurance and later for the St. Joseph School District. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jack Deckard in 1996.

Survivors include her children, Rena Deckard and James (Heather) Deckard, both of St. Joseph; brother, Robert (Jodi) Jones, of Amazonia, Missouri; grandchildren, Malaney and Chance Deckard and Tracey and Colby Davis; and great-granddaughter, Karsyn Davis.

Ms. Deckard has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. No services are scheduled at this time. Memorials are requested to the Linda Deckard Memorial Fund, c/o Rupp Funeral Home.
