Twombly, James W. 1949-2025 Highland, Kan.

HIGHLAND, Kan. – James Wayne “J.W.” Twombly, 75, of Highland, Kansas, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025. J.W. was born on Dec. 18, 1949, in Highland, the only child of James Wesley and Evelyn M. (Peuker) Twombly.

He was a member of the Community of Christ Church, Fanning, Kansas. A lifelong resident of Doniphan County, farming and a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

J.W Twombly married Kathleen R. Schneider and to this union they were blessed with three sons, Dennis Lentz, Wesley Twombly (Lisa) and Jerry Twombly (Pam); grand-daughters, Kora and Kaley Twombly.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2025, at the Community of Christ Church, Fanning. Visitation: 9 a.m., one hour prior to service. Burial: Highland Cemetery, Highland.

Memorials: Community of Christ Church, Fanning, Kansas or the Doniphan County Ambulance Fund.
