Norman Dale “Randy” Randall, 93, of St. Joseph, passed away, Sunday, May 11, 2025. Randy was born Aug. 16, 1931, in the French Bottoms of St. Joseph, to Francis W. and Evelyn (Sitzman) Randall.

He was a graduate of Lafayette High School where he served in the ROTC. Randy served his country honorably with the U. S. Marines during the Korean War.

He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after many years of service. Randy was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Communications Workers of America, Eagles Lodge, AT&T Pioneers, and the American Legion Post 359.

He married Clematis Grace Lanham on June 25, 1952, at St. Mary’s Rectory, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 11, 2018. Also preceding him in death were his parents, and a sister, Ann Hummer.

Survivors include three daughters, Karen Benham (Larry), Kathy Smith (Carl), Anna Marie Eiberger (Donald); 10 grandchildren; 22 great- grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Randy used to build and fly remote control airplanes. He enjoyed sitting on the swing in his backyard and solving the problems of the world with the neighbors and spending time with family.

The Rosary will be recited Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 10 a.m. in Horigan Chapel at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will follow until 11:30 a.m. and then there will be a graveside service with full military honors at the cemetery.

In lieu of floral arrangements the family requests that memorial donations be directed to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, in St. Joseph.
