Kozanecki, Isabel M. 1927-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Isabel Marie Kozanecki, 97, St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025. She was born May 24, 1927, to the late Stanley and Marie (Olsen) Liebe, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

Blessed with the companionship of two husbands, Isabel first married Clarence Riebe, in 1947, who predeceased her in 1967. In August 1968, she married Jacob Edward Kozanecki, and they shared nearly four decades together until his passing in 2007.

Her vibrant spirit found delight in dancing during her youth and later transitioned to the enjoyment of game shows, a passion she carried into her twilight years.

She was preceded in death by her son, Steven Riebe, and several siblings.

Survivors include her children, Sandra Allen, Allan Riebe (Janie), Bruce Riebe (Melissa), Anita Hartmann (Ed), Ken Kozanecki (Karen), Margie Covington, Judy Laster, and Jim Kozanecki; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; three brothers; and one sister.

Private Services were held. Inurnment Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Friends of the Animal Shelter of St. Joseph.
