SAVANNAH, Mo. – Mary J. Bennett 75, of Savannah, Missouri, passed away on Oct. 4, 2024, at a local hospital in St. Joseph. She was born in St. Joseph on Feb. 9, 1949, to William and Lorene (Knowles) Bennett.

Mary loved Christmas time and being able to spend time with her family. She enjoyed fishing, movies, reading, and going to parks and places on road trips.

Survivors include her children, David (Sherry) Frazer, of Weatherby, Missouri, Alica (Mack) Carter of Savannah, Nina Farnsworth, of St. Joseph, and Jaxon (Ashley) Bennett, of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Mack, Cristie, Tabatha, Bobbi, Novaly, Charles, William, Jagger, and Sara.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Robert Townsend; son, CJ Sisk; granddaughter, Kimberly Carter; and sister, Bertha Nephew.

Memorial services will be Oct. 19, 2024, 10 a.m. at East Side Baptist Church in St. Joseph. There will be a BBQ preceding the memorial services starting at 1 p.m. at The Andrew County Lake Club.
