Cynthia Jo Hornbeck, 73, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024. She was born April 13, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri, daughter of the late Betty and Archie Allen. Cynthia was a loving mother, grandma and great-grandma who was a housewife and a wonderful painter who loved watching Law and Order and game shows. Cynthia was a Jehovah’s Witness, and was very involved in her church.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Dwight Hornbeck before he passed away in 1997; and her parents.

She is survived by daughters, Jo Ann (Darren) Myers, and Pamela (Tony) Hoffman; brother, Steven (Betty) Allen; sister, Donna (Keith) Herbst; six grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She will be cremated under the care of the Rupp Funeral Home.
