ST. PETERS, Mo. – John Alvin Huffer, age 73, of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024, in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born in St. Joseph on Oct. 26, 1950, to Forrest and Tura Huffer (nee Bodde).

John enjoyed fishing, playing pool, chess, and watching the Kansas City Chiefs. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and loved making others laugh. He had a dedicated work ethic. John was a good, kind man. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

John is survived by his, daughter, Kimberly (Mark) Hayden; son, John C. Huffer; two grandchildren, Josh Hayden, Lauren Hayden; former wife, Mitzi Huffer; sister, Deanna Potts; brother, Thomas Huffer; and a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Tura V. Fanning; father, Forrest F. Huffer; three brothers, David Huffer, James Mules, Michael Huffer; sister, Joy Homan.
