SAVANNAH, Mo. – Alvin Raymond Mullins, 76, of Savannah, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024, in a Savannah health care center. He was born Dec. 14, 1947, in Oregon, Missouri, son of the late Alvin and Shirley Jean (Dahlmann) Mullins. He graduated from Oregon, Missouri, High School class of 1965. He married Phyllis Ann McQueen on April 11, 1966, who preceded him in death in 2009.

He worked at Quaker Oats as a machinist retiring after 32 years of service. Alvin enjoyed working on old tractors particularly John Deere, tractor pulls, camping and canoeing, gardening, spending time with his family. He belonged to the greater Kansas City Two-cycle Engine Tractor Club and participated in many tractor cruises and other fundraising activities in northwest Missouri and surrounding areas.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Alvin had five children, survivors include daughters, Janice Cogdill, Kansas City, Missouri, Renea (Devon) Patchin, Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Jackie (Josh) Hannah, Bolckow, Missouri, and Brenda (Caleb) Cook, Norwood, North Carolina; son, Jeff (Erica) Mullins, Savannah; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Harry (Delia) Mullins; sisters, Peggy Mullins and Carol Snodgrass.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2024, at the Rupp Funeral Home, The Interment will be at the Savannah Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society.
