Patricia “Pat” Ann Evans, 96, of St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024, in a St. Joseph health care center. She was born Aug. 23, 1927, in El Dorado, Kansas, daughter of the late Flora and Andrew Lehr. Patricia graduated from El Dorado High School, class of 1948, and married Rolland Evans on Feb. 6, 1948, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, El Dorado. She worked as a certified dental assistant.

Patricia was a member of the St. James Catholic Church, and the St. James Altar Society, and a former member of St. John the Evangelist, in El Dorado.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rolland; her parents; brothers, Richard and William Lehr; sisters, Mary E. Eaton, Ruth Smith, and Judy Badwey.

Survivors include daughter, Connie (Chris) Sandberg, of St. Joseph; sons, Gregory (Mary) Evans, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Will (Lisa) Evans, of Batavia, Illinois; nine grandchildren; numerous great- grandchildren; a sister, Joan Lewis; and a brother, Jim (Eleanor) Lehr.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the St. James Catholic Church, Father Joseph Totton Celebrant. The Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Rupp Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Walnut Valley Memorial Park.
