ST JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) -- St Joseph native, Noah Cameron, is set to start on home turf against the Los Angeles Dodgers Friday night.

Cameron, in his last start against the San Diego Padres, received the loss, moving his record to 2-3. If he wants to continue pushing a case for rookie of the year, he will have to go through a red-hot Dodgers lineup, which is currently on a four-game win streak.

While the Dodgers have their winning streak, the Royals can not say the same, as they are on a five-game losing streak.

The month of June has not been kind to the Royals, posting a 6-15 record in the month. That record is the second worst in the MLB in June, only ahead of the Washington Nationals, who sit at 5-18 for the month. The Royals have had separate losing streaks of six games and five games during the month as well.

In this historically bad month, the Royals are 0-10 at home and have set a new franchise record for longest scoring drought in franchise history at 18 straight innings without a run scored.

With the Dodgers coming to town this weekend for a three-game series, the Royals look to break out of their slump and get back on the winning track.

First pitch against the Dodgers is set for 7:10 p.m. on Friday, June 27.
