Golfers teeing off at Fairview Golf Course will have more than bragging rights to play for this Friday.

Friends of the Animal Shelter is set to hold its annual golf tournament fundraiser “Puttin’ for Mutts” this Friday at Fairview Golf Course starting at 1:30 p.m.

The event allows groups of four people to enter and participate for $240. Money raised will provide a boost to local shelter animals by supporting medical care and adoption specials.

The event will see a shotgun start, meaning all groups will tee off from different holes to begin the event. Prizes will be awarded for flights, longest drive, longest putt and closest to the pin.

Participants will also be treated to free hot dogs and hamburgers during the event.

Event information and registration details can be found at petforu.com/golf-tournament-registration/.
