St. Joseph police request help locating missing 67-year-old man with dementia

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) -- The St. Joseph Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing 67-year-old St. Joseph man diagnosed with dementia.

Juan Francisco Holguin Perez was last seen on Feb. 4, 2026, and his whereabouts are currently unknown. Due to concerns for his safety, he is considered a missing and endangered person.

Perez is a Hispanic male weighing roughly 185 pounds and standing 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was last spotted around 1500 N. 8th St. wearing a brown or black jacket with red and white shoes, according to a Nixle alert from local authorities.

Anyone with information regarding Juan's location is urged to contact the St. Joseph Police Department at (816) 271-4777, Detective Cecil at (816) 271-4792 or submit an anonymous tip through the TIPS Hotline at (816) 238-TIPS (8477).
