Studer, John 1941-2025 Wathena, Kan.

WATHENA, Kan. – John Studer, 84, of Wathena, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025, at the Wathena Healthcare & Rehab. John was born on April 14, 1941, in Wathena, to Pete and Catherine (Fahey) Studer Jr.

John attended St. Joseph’s Grade School and graduated from Wathena High School in 1961. He was a lifelong farmer and a gardener. He loved raising chickens.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Gerald and Larry Studer.

Survivors, siblings, Cathy Coy (Vernie), Janice Studer, and Tony Studer (Shelley), all of Wathena, Marilyn Perry and Bob Studer (Wendy), both of St. Joseph; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home, in Wathena. Visitation will be 10 a.m., one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
