3rd Annual Tutu Trot races to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- On Saturday, the annual Tutu Trot took place at Krug Park.
The 3rd year event had St. Joseph locals come out to run for a cause.
The 1.5-mile run raises money for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
All funds from the run help children like Natalie Caton, who received treatment from St. Jude that saved her life.
"St. Jude to me means life. I get choked up thinking about it because their research does so much, and without Saint Jude, I have no doubt my daughter wouldn’t be alive today," said Canton's mom, Tausha Taylor.
Event organizer Terra James said that last year the run raised over $13,000 and she expects those numbers to repeat.
James also urges those who may be interested in participating to sign up for the Saint Jude Heroes program to help raise money for events like this one.
