25th annual Christmas for Kids toy drive gives back to local children

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) --The 25th annual Christmas for Kids toy drive brought Christmas to local children right before the holiday season.

A local radio station, Joetown 107.5, asked people to help donate toys to agencies like the Noyes Home for Children, Adopt-a-Family, and more.

The season of gifts came early for the children who received presents for the holidays from Santa in a holiday party right after Black Friday.

"We started with the toy drive on the day after Halloween, on November 1st, we finished it on Black Friday, and then the following Thursday, we had them all together for a big party, and Santa gave them their toys," said Joetown program director Gregg Lynn.

According to Lynn, the toy drive donated more than 500 gifts to approximately 180 kids for Christmas.
