Mayor’s Christmas Party set to kick off at Bode Ice Arena this week

Santa Claus will make an appearance at the Mayor’s Children’s Christmas Party to ice skate with local children.

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) -- Community members are invited to join in the holiday festivities with a special visitor from the North Pole this weekend in St. Joseph.

The Mayor's Christmas Party will take place this weekend with doors opening at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday Dec. 13 at the Bode Ice Arena, offering families and children the chance to partake in holiday-centric activities with Christmas right around the corner.

Guests will be receive goodie bags and tickets to use for prizes upon entry.

Festivities planned for the party include free skating, prizes, treats and pictures with Santa Claus.

A performance will also be held featuring the Griffon Gliders Synchronized Skating teams along with the St. Joseph Figure Skating Club's 2026 seniors.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at the Bode Ice Arena located at 2500 SW Parkway.
