We need rigid boundaries

Now that the school board decided on Plan E, will there be some rigid boundaries put in to shift some Central students to Lafayette and others to Benton, so we balance out the three high schools enrollment-wise?

Schools prop up neighborhoods

I just want to thank the school board and all the people that showed up to save all three high schools. I 100% agree with the reasoning and the article from some of the people that those high schools prop up the whole city. They prop up neighborhoods. They prop up lots. It makes for the character of the city to have three different high schools that can play against each other. It's not just economics. It's In the grand scheme of things, it will certainly help the whole economics of St. Joe, but it, like I said, it keeps those neighborhoods intact.

Doesn't care about the people

I'm calling about the government where they're doing these shutdowns and these people aren't getting paid. SNAP is not going to. So many people depend on that. Why don't Congress have their paychecks stopped? I guarantee they’d get an agreement real quick, but you know that's not going to happen because they won't let it happen. Won't they wise up, this government? Because we don't have much of a government right now. They don't care about the people.

Who's the real king?

Looks like unelected federal judges are once again blocking elected officials' policies. Who's the king there?

How to settle the shutdown

To settle the shutdown, all the Republicans have to do is drop their objections to Obamacare, reinstate the funds for SNAP and then negotiate the rest of it.

Wrong priorities

Trump and the elected GOP can find $20 billion to give to a South American country that doesn't pay its debts back. They've been proven not to. They won't pay it back, but they can give that to them, but they can't come up with the money to keep SNAP and get food for the American people. They can't find that. You know why? Because they're using that as a weapon. This is the richest country in the world. Nobody should go hungry in this place. But it's all right for the Republicans to do that and then blame the Democrats for it.
