SJSD School Board talks boundaries, feeder system and program expansion

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) -- The St. Joseph School District Board of Education is gearing up for its meeting with several big topics on the table.
One of the main discussion topics will focus on school boundaries, looking at enrollment numbers and the percentage of students receiving free or reduced lunches.
Board members will take a closer look at a proposed feeder system, designed to keep students together as they move from elementary to middle school and then on to high school.
The BOE will also discuss expanding programs from SJSD's early childhood education. With growing demand in the community, leaders will talk about ways to expand programs to better serve young learners.
The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, at the Truester Media Center, located at 3401 Renick St.
