Prajukta Ghosh

Prajukta (Praji) Ghosh joined the News-Press NOW team in July 2025 as a multimedia journalist after graduating from the University of Missouri with a bachelor's degree in journalism and a minor in human development and family science.

Praji was born and raised in New Delhi, India, until she was 15, and then moved to the U.S. to attend high school in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Her love for writing and telling stories had brought her close to the world of communications. She has a deep yearning for community and uplifting people's voices.

She loves spending all her free time reading fictional books or watching TV shows. She loves working out in nature and exploring coffee shops. She can speak two other regional languages besides English, which are Hindi and Bengali.

Besides her love for learning about the community and people, she shares a passion for dogs. Although she does not own any at this moment in time, she hopes to pet a golden retriever of her own someday.

If and when in doubt, she believes in trusting her gut and going into everything you do with all your might and courage.
