Pet of the Week: lucky cat and energetic dog ready for adoption

Meet Margie!

Margie is a success story! She has been recovering at the shelter from what was thought to be a fractured jaw! This sweet, gentle cat, who never complained one iota, was started on soft, mushy food, and eventually Margie worked all the way up to regular cat food! It's been a joy to watch her joy return. Margie is a young, beautiful tangerine and white color cat who wants to share her resilient, happy spirit with some lucky family.

Meet Fred!

A 1-year-old Border Collie mix with a smile as bright as his mismatched eyes! This handsome guy is full of life and charm, and he’s currently participating in the Puppies for Parole program where he’s learning all the basics of good manners. Fred is intelligent, eager to please, and always ready for a game of fetch or a walk around the block. Like most Border Collies, he’s energetic and thrives when given something to do — whether that’s showing off his new skills or simply being your loyal sidekick. With his friendly personality and upbeat attitude, Fred is sure to bring a spark of joy to any home.
