Pet of the Week: nice cat and happy dog ready for adoption

Meet Ursa Major!
Ursa Major has energy and personality to spare! This very nice orange tabby had been living outside, but had definitely had lots of socialization in his four years, as he loves being around people. His confidence is through the roof and all he needs is someone to share his happy mojo. Ursa Major came to the shelter with a wounded ear and scrapes from fighting with other male cats. As a result, he contracted the FIV virus, which makes him more susceptible to getting viruses when stressed. FIV cats live long lives with proper care and good nutrition. Ursa Major is a great example of a cat who isn’t letting challenges keep him down!
Meet Diesel!
This fun-loving, happy-go-lucky guy is all personality packed into a little 45-pound body. Diesel’s favorite things? Wiggles, smiles, and making new friends – and to him, everyone is a friend! He came to the shelter when his owner could no longer care for him, but despite not finding his forever home right away, Diesel has kept his upbeat spirit and never met a stranger. Diesel was selected to join the Puppies for Parole program, where he’s thrived while learning important skills to prepare for adoption. He’s now house-trained, crate-trained, leash-trained, and knows all his basic commands. Whether you`re looking for a playful sidekick for outdoor adventures or a cuddly companion for quiet moments, Diesel’s your guy. If you’re ready to add some joy, energy, and personality to your family, Diesel is waiting to bring his infectious smile and fun-loving nature into your home!
