CARTHAGE, Mo. (AP) — CARTHAGE, Mo. (AP) — Leggett & Platt Inc. (LEG) on Monday reported first-quarter profit of $30.6 million. On a per-share basis, the Carthage, Missouri-based company said it had net income of 22 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 24 cents per share. The results surpassed Wall Street expectations.
