Platte County Courthouse to see improvements in 2025

Renovations are beginning at the Platte County Courthouse, including the addition of a new courtroom and upgrades to other parts of the building.

The courthouse will close at noon on Friday, Nov. 22, to relocate security personnel and equipment.

Starting on Monday, Nov. 25, anyone coming into the courthouse must go through the western entrance at the county’s detention center and administration office. Entry for the county’s administrative offices will be north of the existing entrance.

There will be parking available on Third Street, High Street and in two parking lots adjacent to the entrance.

Improvements at the courthouse, located at 501 Third St. in Platte City, are set to be completed by the end of 2025.
