Abigail McCluskey

Abigail McCluskey's drive and passion for weather all started back in May of 2011 during the Joplin tornado. She has several family members who were only blocks away from this devastating tornado's path. 

It was heartbreaking to watch this all unfold on TV, in her hometown of Kansas City. As a kid, this is something that has stuck with her and given her a strong passion for community safety and weather. 

Growing up in the suburbs of Kansas City, Abigail enjoyed some delicious BBQ and different dishes that KC has to offer.

In May of 2025, Abigail graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Environmental Science with an emphasis in Atmospheric Science. Abigail joined News-Press NOW shortly after graduation as a weekend Stormtracker Meteorologist and weekday Multimedia Journalist.

When not in the studio watching the weather, you can catch Abigail at a local coffee shop or baking up some delicious treats!
