William “Bill” Davis Bailey, 66, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024, in a St. Joseph hospital. He was born Sept. 3, 1957, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Bill served in the United States Marine Corp at an early age, then worked at Crete Trucking as a truck driver. He liked being on the road, and spending time with family at family events, and loved being Santa Claus.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Bailey; mother, Joan Marie (Picture) Moreno; father, Clifton Bailey; and brother, John Paul Bailey.

Survivors include: daughter, Marie (Steve) Ross, of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Eric, D’Angelo and A’leah; great-grandchildren, Tez’lynn, Eric III, A’mira and Teddy IV, and several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Wesley, Leonard, Doran, and Alberto (Yolanda) Bailey; a sister, Mayla Moore; and several, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. with memorial services, military honors and public live stream following Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 6 p.m. at the Rupp Funeral Home.
