Tracking dry and comfortable conditions until the holiday weekend

We kicked off the work week on a soggy note, with widespread rain falling from the morning into the afternoon. St. Joseph recorded over half an inch of rainfall, while our neighbors to the west in Troy picked up around three-quarters of an inch. This was definitely an impactful system, bringing not only wet conditions but also a noticeable drop in temperatures.

Overnight, we’ll start to feel more of the effects from the cold front that moved through. Temperatures will dip into the low 60s, making for a cool and comfortable night. Clouds will gradually clear out, setting the stage for a crisp and clear evening.

By Tuesday morning, conditions will be much more pleasant and far less humid than what we've experienced recently. We'll start the day in the low 60s and warm up quickly into the mid-80s. With mostly sunny skies, it’ll be a perfect day to get outside and soak up some sunshine.

As we head into Wednesday and the 4th of July, temperatures will slowly begin to rise, and we’ll start to feel a bit more humidity creeping back in. Fortunately, the forecast remains dry and sunny through Thursday.

Rain chances return on Friday—the 4th of July—with about a 20% chance of showers. While some areas may see brief rain during the afternoon, it’s not expected to be a washout or significantly disrupt plans. The pattern continues into Saturday and Sunday, with rain chances increasing slightly to around 30%. These showers are expected to be scattered and shouldn’t completely spoil holiday weekend festivities.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on this next system as we move closer to the holiday. Be sure to check back for updates to stay ahead of any changing conditions.
