Larry Michael Lutz, 79, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on June 25, 2025, in St. Joseph. He received great care and kindness from the staff at Mosaic.

Larry was born in St. Joseph on Dec. 8, 1945, to George Adam Lutz and Lola Amy (Dysart) Lutz.

Larry graduated from Central High School in 1964. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

After his military service, Larry worked as a welder at Mead Products for 25 years.

He married Paula Deaton on June 30, 1972, at McCarthy Baptist Church. They had three children, Brandon Lutz, Parrish Lutz (Brandi), and Kendra Stuart.

Larry was predeceased by his parents and first wife, Darlene (Pearl) Lutz.

He is survived by his wife; children; grandchildren, Allegra Bokay (Gabe), Daytona Lutz, Carson Lutz (Jazmyn), and Camden Lutz (Hunter); great-grandsons, Miles and eagerly-awaited Koa; sister, Sandra White (Chuck); nephew, Aaron White (Amanda); great-niece and nephew, Sarah and Evan; friends; and little buddy, Tater.

Graveside Farewell Services and Interment 10 a.m. Monday, Dysart Cemetery, Fillmore, Missouri. The family will gather with friends 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family suggests memorial contributions to Cornerstone Baptist Church.
