Only responsibilities

The only two responsibilities of our city government is our safety and our infrastructure, which is supposed to be financed and paid for out of our general fund. Yet when they need more money for our police, which is safety, they want more tax dollars from us taxpayers. When they need more money for the sewer, which is infrastructure, they want more money from us taxpayers. What do they use the money in the general fund for? 

Same old, same old

I see the city council approved increases for both sewer and the landfill. Was there ever any doubt that that's what they would do? They act like they discussed it and tried to come up with an answer, but no, they just fall back on the same old crap and raise the rates. 

Don't you see the irony?

Does anybody see the irony of having a city of 74,000 people not have a pool? That we would have a pool house at Hyde Park, with no pool except a shallow pool where you can't swim. It's the most ridiculous thing. 

Waiting to see

I see where Kennedy is eliminating a lot of different food types because supposedly, they cause cancer for different health reasons. Is he going to eliminate tobacco products because they cause cancer as well? Just curious. Just waiting to see.
