Meyer, Jack W. 1957-2025 DeKalb, Mo.

DEKALB, Mo. – Jack Whalen Meyer, 67, of DeKalb, Missouri, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025, in DeKalb. He was born Nov. 5, 1957, in Leavenworth, Kansas, son of the late Lucille and Donald Meyer.
He graduated from Lansing High School and worked on the Union Pacific Railroad for 40 years as a Maintenance Supervisor. He married Denise Reagan on Sept. 28, 1985, and the rest is history.
He enjoyed shooting, working on firearms, reloading ammunition, and working and tinkering on cars. Jack loved taking things apart and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a member of Sugar Creek Christian Church.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Duane Meyer; and grandson, Braxton Meyer.
Survivors include wife, Denise E. Meyer, of the home; sons, Zachary (Makayla) Meyer, of Dearborn, Missouri, and Reagan (Kelsey Smith) Meyer, of Rushville, Missouri; brother, Michael (Bea) Meyer; sister, Mary Ruth (Mark) Nienhueser; sister-in-law, Cindy Meyer; and grandsons, Emmitt Meyer, Bosten Horner, and Gatlin Meyer.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2025, at Sugar Creek Christian Church. Memorials are requested to the Sugar Creek Christian Church.
