Steiniche, David V. 1940-2025 Cameron, Mo.

CAMERON, Mo. – Dr. David Steiniche passed away on June 4, 2025. He was born on Jan. 4, 1940, in Morris, Illinois, the son of Dr. Aage and Barbara Steiniche.

David grew up in Dwight, Illinois, where he attended Dwight High School. David graduated from Grinnell College in 1963, and later obtained a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin (1964) and a PhD in Political Science from the University of Nebraska (1971). David enjoyed a long academic career as a Professor of Political Science at Missouri Western State University, where he lectured for 41 years.

After retiring, David enjoyed traveling with his wife, Brenda, and spending winters in Arizona.

He was preceded by his sister.

He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and brother.
