O’Neal, Jeffrey L. 1970-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Jeffrey L. O’Neal 54, of St. Joseph, passed away Friday, May 16, 2025, in St. Joseph. He was born Dec. 29, 1970, in St. Joseph.

He graduated from Central High School and He was working at Securitas as a security officer. He enjoyed anything outside, camping, fishing, going on drives, chasing storms and spending times with his grandkids.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by mother, Betty Jo Liu; and sister, Mary Blanchard.

Survivors include father, Solomon Liu; daughter, Mekaila O’Neal (Gavin Clevenger); sons, Matthew Jones, and Zachary Jones (Angelaca Burley); and daughter, Ariel (Zachary) Jackson; former wife, Rosetta O’Neal; brother, Kevin O’Neal, all of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Chelsey, Jay’Vion, Casey, Emeri, Everleigh, Brayden, Zander, and Dorian..

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with Funeral services and public live stream 11 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2025, both at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Agency Cemetery.
