Northwest Republican Club to hold May meeting, Schumacher to speak

St. Joseph City Manager, Mike Schumacher, to speak at NWMO Republican Meeting on Thursday, May 15.

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) -- The Northwest Missouri Republican Club will hold its May monthly meeting on Thursday, May 15 at Bandana's Bar-B-Q.

Social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Bandana's, located at 4225 Frederick Ave. Dinner will follow, as well as a forum presentation at 6:30 p.m. Attendee's will order off of the menu.

City Manager, Mike Schumacher is May's guest speaker.

Schumacher became St. Joseph's City Manager on Jan. 21, 2025 and brings over 30 years of experience in local government.

He most recently served as City Administrator in Lebanon, Missouri (2018-2024). Schumacher also held the role of Assistant City Manager in Kansas City for six years.

Schumacher is a graduate of Central Missouri State University and holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice/administration and is a Certified Public Manager through the KU Management Center. He is also a certified city manager with the International City/County Management Association.
