Brock, Gerald L. 1934-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Gerald Lee Brock, 91, of St. Joseph, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025, in at his home. Gerald was born Jan. 7, 1934, in Norborne, Missouri, son of the late Essie and Myron Brock.

He graduated from Savannah, Missouri, High School, class of 1952. On March 26, 1955, he married Marion Ziolkowski.

Gerald worked serveral jobs, including Quaker Oats, Dugdale Packing Plant, Seaman & Schuske and Moffett Nursery. He enjoyed wood working, working in his garden and going fishing. He was also a third Degree Mason with the Saxton Masonic Lodge.

Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Marion Brock; his parents; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Shelly Brock; siblings, Claude Brock, Willa Mae Brock, and Mary Ellen Kibbey.

Survivors include children, Mark (Kathy) Brock, of St. Joseph, and Elaine (Ed) Parks, of Midland, Texas; siblings, Norris “Bud” Brock, of St. Joseph, and Elnora Miller, of Gladstone, Missouri; grandchildren, Mike (Amanda), Mindy (David), Elisha (Chris), Eric (Adrian), Susan, Jeff (Jill); 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will follow at Mount Auburn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Rupp Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to the American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
