POLICE INCIDENT REPORT

Between Nov. 2 and Nov. 29, the Salem Police Department fielded a total of 389 calls for service.
Officers with the Salem Police Department conducted 40 traffic stops for various traffic violations with four resulting in summons or arrest. Officers conducted six traffic accident investigations, along with five informational reports.
Of the calls for service, below are some of the reports and arrests generated:
• Officers were dispatched to a traffic accident near the intersection of Macarthur and Franklin Street at approximately 1:30 p.m. Nov. 2. During the traffic accident investigation, it was found that the operator of one of the vehicles was visibly impaired. After further investigation a 53-year-old Salem female was arrested and later released on summons for excessive BAC.
• Officers responded to the Crossroads Hotel after receiving information that a male subject was there with an active felony warrant out of Johnson County at approximately 5:30 p.m., Nov. 2. As a result, Charles Copper, 38, of Knob Noster, was arrested without incident for an active felony warrant with a bond of $15,000.
• Officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Missouri 19 and Hunt Street for suspected drunk driving as the vehicle was swerving all over the roadway at approximately 6 p.m., Nov. 2. Contact was made with the driver, and it was found the driver was impaired. After a short investigation a 35-year-old male from Sullivan was arrested and later released on summons for excessive BAC.
• An officer was dispatched to the Phelps County Jail to extradite a male subject who had an active capias warrant out of the City of Salem at approximately 12 p.m., Nov. 5. Jordan Sanders, 22, of Salem, was extradited and incarcerated at the Dent County Jail.
• Officers responded to the intersection of Warfel and Hawkins for a report of a traffic accident at approximately 8:30 p.m., Nov. 20. It was reported that a single vehicle had crashed into someone’s garage. During the investigation it was found the operator of the vehicle was impaired. As a result of the investigation, a 38-year-old Salem male was arrested and later released on summons for excessive BAC.
• Officers arrested Glen Head, 54, of Salem, on his outstanding warrants out of the City of Salem at approximately 3 p.m., Nov. 25. Head was transported to the Dent County Jail to await bail.
• Officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Missouri 19 and 68 for various traffic violations at approximately 11 p.m., Nov. 25. It was found the driver was impaired. After a short investigation, a 34 year old Salem male was arrested and later released on summons for excessive BAC.
