Freezing drizzle still imposes travel hazards

Payton Counts

A Winter Weather Advisory is still in effect for Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas.

This advisory includes Andrew, Atchison, Buchanan, Clinton, DeKalb, Gentry, Holt, Nodaway, Platte and Worth counties. In Northeast Kansas, Brown, Atchison and Doniphan counties are covered. This advisory does not expire until 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Freezing drizzle fell early this morning, creating icy road conditions. It is still possible for it to continue off and on throughout the morning.

There is a light glaze of ice on roads and bridges, so drivers so be careful and slow down, especially on secondary and tertiary roads.
