East Hills Library is offering a chance to better understand dyslexia and to learn how to support students who have the disorder.

The library will host dyslexia simulations at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 3 and 6 p.m. on Oct. 9. This will give people an opportunity to experience what students with dyslexia go through.

Jamie Davis, certified academic language therapist and national board certified teacher in literacy, will host a workshop at 6 p.m. Oct. 17 on identifying the signs and best practices for supporting students.

To register, contact children’s department manager Misty Snider at (816) 236-1424.
