DEARBORN, Mo. – Melvin L. Whitlock, 87, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, in Dearborn, Missouri. Born Dec. 3, 1938.

Preceded in death by parents, William and Ella May Whitlock; brother, Gary Whitlock.

Survivors include wife, Helen Whitlock; sons, Byron and Dennis; daughter, Christa (Ralph) Simmons; brothers, William Whitlock Jr. and Ronald (Hilda) Whitlock; two granddaughters; several step-grandchildren.

Visitation 12:30 to 2 p.m., Funeral Service at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026, at the Rupp Funeral Home. Interment, Union Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Angels Vet Express (M’Shoogy’s).
