Hart, Dennis L. 1946-2026 St. Joseph, Mo.

Dennis L. Hart, 79, St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026. He was born Oct. 18, 1946, to Andrew and Margaret (Hanway) Hart, in St. Joseph.

Dennis married Jeanette M. Clardy on Feb. 5, 1966.

Dennis dedicated two decades of his life to the United States Navy. He completed his education with a bachelor’s degree from Missouri Western State College. He applied the same level of dedication to his work as a CNA at a local nursing home, bringing warmth and compassion to those in his care. He continued his career at IMKO and later found his calling at Sprint, where he worked diligently as a maintenance technician until his retirement.

A devout member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Dennis lived out his faith in every aspect of his life. His commitment to spiritual growth and community was further evident through his involvement at Mir House of Prayer. Dennis also took great pleasure in being a member of the Boy Scouts of America

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jason Hart; infant sister, Mary Frances Hart; and brother, Norman Hart.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette; children, Chris Hart (Debbie), of St. Joseph, Melissa Noble (Don), of Bolckow, Missouri, and Matthew Hart, of Huntsville, Alabama; 13 grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; brothers, Phillip Hart, of Jacksonville, Illinois, Larry Hart (Rebecca), of Belton, Missouri, Roger Hart (Roxy) and Martin Hart (Susan), of St. Joseph; sisters, Patricia Logan, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Joyce Vale, of San Antionio, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Inurnment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
