Reorganization, early childhood changes on agenda for St. Joseph School Board
ST. JOSEPH, Mo (KQTV)-- The St. Joseph School Board of Education is set to discuss the district's reorganization plan and changes coming to its early childhood education programs at Monday's meeting.
Administrators will review the current reorganization plan and outline what the next steps may look like moving forward.
The board will also receive updates on Early Childhood Programming. District leaders are considering changes to some early childhood programs for the 2026–2027 school year.
According to the district, the goal is to continue serving roughly the same number of students as in the current school year.
However, the programming may look slightly different as SJSD works to reduce costs and remain within specific revenue streams.
Another item on the agenda includes the potential purchase of supplemental materials for English Language Learners.
These materials would be used to support student help succeed with the Tier 1 benchmark curriculum.
Monday's meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Troester Media Center, located at 3401 Renick St.
KQ2 will update this story.
