ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) - With Christmas just three days away, the Adopt-a-Family program needs more adopters.

The program has 85 families that have not been adopted, and 28 people are on the gift-room waitlist. AFL-CIO leaders told KQ2 that the gift room is running low on items, and the program is also in need of monetary donations.

Families can be adopted up until Christmas Eve. If you’re interested in adopting, a form is available on the AFL-CIO Community Services website.

Donations for the gift room and monetary donations can be dropped off at AFL-CIO Community Services.
