COSBY, Mo. – Ronald Raymond Schneider, 90, Cosby, Missouri, went to his heavenly home on Dec. 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at home. He was born on Feb. 21, 1935, at the home of his parents, Raymond and Clara Marie (Heller) Schneider.

Ronnie grew up in Cosby, attended Oak Ridge Elementary and Savannah High School, and one year of Junior College in St. Joseph. He was a lifetime farmer and dairyman. He was co-owner and operator of LaRon Meats with his brother, Larry Schneider, from 1975 to 2003.

Ronnie loved and cherished his family. His survivors include his wife, Marla Jean (Schnuelle) Schneider, married on Nov. 1, 1959, sharing 66 years of marriage. He is also survived by his children, Mark Schneider (Susan), Wayne Schneider (Jean), Kari Maag (Jim), and Shelly Higgins (Mark); brother, Larry Schneider (Vicki); sister, Linda Schneider; sister-in-law, Barbara Schneider; grandchildren, Dustin, Travis, Jacob, Lindsey, Leah, Kasey, Andrew and Trevor; great-grandchildren, Gage, Allie, Landon, Macy, Ridge, Reed, Flynn, Audrey, Riley and Avery.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roger Schneider.

Ronnie served in the Air National Guard. In his younger years, he was on a roller-skating racing team and enjoyed playing softball. He was a member of the Missouri Association of Meat Processors where he served many positions including president and treasurer. He had also served on the Avenue City R-9 school board. He was a lifelong active member of Hope United Church of Christ. Graveside Service and Interment 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, Oak Ridge Cemetery, Cosby, followed by the Service 11 a.m. Tuesday, Hope United Church of Christ. The family will gather with friends 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hope United Church of Christ of Cosby, or Oak Ridge Cemetery.
