Gary Wilbert Smith 72, St. Joseph, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2025. Born Dec. 31, 1952, Batesville, Arkansas.

Preceded in death by mother, Vera Rose Smith; father, Wilbert “WN” Nathanial Smith; son, Garrett Smith.

Survivors include wife, Gemma Smith; children, Brooke (Randy) Sutterfield and Taylor Smith; step-children, Jeremy (Vanessa) Jagow and Laura (Zach) Jagow-Helton; granddaughters, Brittney and Sara Sutterfield; brother, Michael Smith.

A special thank you to his caretaker, Luella Howard.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
