White, Anna M. 1937-2024 St. Joseph, Mo.

Anna Marie White, 87, of St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024, near Syracuse, Nebraska. She was born Feb. 10, 1937, in Aurora, Kansas, daughter of the late Frances and Leo Odette. She worked at Green Hills in the deli, and Whitaker Cable. She enjoyed playing cards, pitch, camping, fishing, and spending time with her family and grandchildren, she was an excellent cook. Anna was a former member of St. James Catholic Church, and a current member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by husband, Lawrence Michael “Whitey” White Sr.; her parents, Leo Boniface Odette, and Frances Marie Odette; and sister-in-law, Darlene Ruth Odette.
Survivors include: children: Francine “Fran” (Craig) Cook, Lawrence “Mike” (Kandy) White, Cheryl (Ronnie) Roberts, Ragenia “Jeanie” (Jeff) Waggoner, all of St. Joseph, Robert “Robbie” (Tiffany) White, of Savannah, Missouri; brothers, Gerald (Suzanne) Odette and Donald Ray (Ruthanna) Odette. also of St. Joseph; 15 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; as well as several, nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on 10 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Father Christian Malewski Celebrant. The Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2024, the family will receive friends following from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Memorials are requested to the St. James Restoration Fund or Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
