Happy 95th Birthday Ray Gurwell!

Ray Gurwell will celebrate his 95th birthday on Nov. 29, 2025. He was born to Lyle and Lula (Schneider) Gurwell on Nov. 29, 1930.

Ray married Faye Schottel on Dec. 27, 1951. She passed away just short of 70 years of marriage. They had four children, Terry, Jim and Tim are deceased. Daughter, Cathy and Steve Johnson. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren are: Brian and Heather Johnson, Emma and Bella Kyle and Kristin Johnson, Kealy and Kimber. All children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren reside in Clarksdale, Missouri.

Ray graduated from Savannah High School and served in the Army from 1952-1954. He has been a farmer his whole life and a maintenance supervisor at Metro North Mall, retiring in 2006.
