MARYVILLE, Mo. – Charlene H. McIntosh, 76, of Maryville, Missouri, died Nov. 15, 2025, at the Maryville Living Center, in Maryville. Charlene was born on Aug. 19, 1949, in Cameron, Missouri, to Charles H. and Darlene (Winslow) McIntosh. They preceded her in death.

She grew up in Hamilton, Missouri, graduating from Penney High School with the class of 1967. In 1970 she earned a BA in Art Education from Central Methodist College, in Fayette, Missouri.

After a short experience in education, Charlene began a 20 year career as a graphic design artist for the University of Missouri in Columbia. In 2006, she completed a practical nursing program at Boonslick Technical Education Center, in Boonville, Missouri, and worked as an LPN until her retirement in 2016. One of her favorite volunteer activities was as a firefighter, EMT for the Boone County Fire Protection District.

Charlene is survived by a brother, Chuck (LeDonna) McIntosh, Maryville; a niece, Bren (Pell) Duvall and great-nephew, Indigo, Omaha, Nebraska; and a nephew, Clif (Amanda) McIntosh and great-niece, Georgia, Ames, Iowa.

The body has been cremated under the direction of Bram Funeral Home, and a celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, at the Hamilton Methodist Church, in Hamilton. Inurnment will be in Highland Cemetery, Hamilton. Because she was a life-long animal lover, memorials may be made in Charlene’s name to the animal shelter of your choice.
