ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) -- The St. Joseph School District Board of Education will meet tonight for a closer examination of a proposed school facilities plan, the third discussion this month as officials inch closer to a final decision.

With last week's board meeting resulting in a majority consensus to look at a modified Plan 2B, which would create a two-high school model with Central and Lafayette, the board wants to examine more details of the proposed plan as part of a special work session tonight at 5:30 p.m. at the Troester Media Center.

Tonight's meeting will also focus on possible modifications to a four middle school model, changes to the feeder system, staffing and impacts on academics and finances.

News-Press NOW will continue to update this story following the meeting.
