Correction for Oct. 24 Weekender Edition
An editorial ran on page B8 of the Oct. 24, 25 and 26 Weekender about the state of Downtown St. Joseph after news broke about U.S. Bank shutting its doors.
The editorial states, "...you can't describe Downtown St. Joseph as the city's central business district. Not anymore. That designation evaporates when the last bank shuts its doors for good."
U.S. Bank is not the last bank in Downtown St. Joseph; Equity Bank, located at 602 Edmond St., is still operating Downtown.
The St. Joseph News-Press apologizes for this error.
