Helton, Paul C. 1965-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Paul Clifford Helton, 60, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025, in St. Joseph. He was born Feb. 17, 1965, in St. Joseph, son of the late Dorothy and Jesse Helton.

He worked at Clarks Tree Service as a Tree Trimmer for many years. Paul enjoyed playing pool and had just started playing the guitar again. He loved watching westerns and working on his cars. Most of all, Paul loved his late wife, Carol, and spending any time he could making memories with her.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife; son, John Fisher; his parents; brother, Jesse Lee Helton Jr.; and sister, Nina Lieble.

Survivors include son, Robert (Megan) Fisher, of Union Star, Missouri; sisters, Jackie Kennedy and Loreen Ward; brothers, Thomas Helton Sr., Danny Helton Sr., Jimmie (Sharon) Helton and Wayne (Lisa) Helton; grandchildren, Hayley, Taylor, Olivia, Mia, and Brody; great-granddaughter, Layla; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.

Paul was the first person to show up for others and the last to leave, he will be greatly missed by everyone.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, at Rupp Funeral Home, The Interment will be at Mount Auburn Cemetery at a later date.
