MoWest hall of famer, former Mustang featured on Cleveland Guardians coaching staff

CLEVELAND, Ohio (News-Press NOW) -- As the Cleveland Guardians look to advance to the American League Divisional Series (ALDS) Thursday afternoon, the offensive production from the Guardians this season was helped by a St. Joseph regular.
The 2022 MoWest Hall of Fame inductee and former St. Joseph Mustangs player, Grant Fink, was originally drafted by the Cleveland Guardians in the 23rd round of the 2013 MLB amateur draft.
Fink played for the St. Joseph Mustangs in their 2013 season and played the 2012 and 2013 spring baseball season with MoWest.
Fink played three seasons in the Guardians' minor league system before being released in 2016. He was then hired as a minor league hitting coordinator for the Guardians in 2017 to begin his professional coaching career.
He was promoted in November 2024 to the position of head hitting coach for the Cleveland Guardians and is one game away from helping his team advance.
